What is the difference between classified & display advertising?
Classified ads are typically text only and are charged by the word or line. Display ads usually involve color and artwork and are charged by the amount of column inches they take up.

How often and when do you publish?
Our paper goes to press every Monday and we have a publication date on Wednesdays. Although we do start distribution of the paper on Tuesday, all of the papers finish delivery on Wednesday.

When is the next deadline?
Normally the deadline for ad space and copy is Friday by 5:00 pm, prior to publication. Early deadlines for Holidays will be posted throughout the prior week's issue. Deadlines for Special Sections is typically the Friday prior to publication as well.

How do I place a classified ad?
BY PHONE: Call 304-267-9983 between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Only PAID ADS are taken over the phone, so please have your ad and VISA or Mastercard ready. FREE ads must be submitted by Internet, E-mail, Fax, Mail or Walk in.
BY MAIL: Send your ad, contact information, placement instructions and check, money order, or credit card information to 415 Wilson Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401. Check our most current edition to get a handy mail-in form or you can download one here.
BY EMAIL: Send your ad, contact information, placement instructions and credit card information to ads@yourbg.com
BY INTERNET: Go to www.yourbg.com and click on SELL Submit Your Ad!. Please have your ad and VISA or Mastercard ready and fill out the form.

What are your rates?
Depending on the type of ad you are placing, the pricing will vary depending on the ad type, ad size and number of weeks you want to run. We also have a "Run-Until-Sold" program. Please see our rates and the restrictions on our classified page.

What is a run-til-sold ad?
A Run-Until-Sold ad is an ad that stays in our publication until you sell the item listed in the ad. You must, however, call back in and renew your ad with our classified department every 4 weeks to let us know that the item has not been sold. Rates vary depending on the item you are selling and the type of Run-Until-Sold program you purchase. You can make price or phone changes to your ad any time you'd like with no further charges.

What is your removal/change policy?
Upon notification, we will remove or change your ad from our website by 5pm of the next business day. Due to printing deadlines, we cannot remove or change classifieds ads later than 11:00 am on the Monday before publication.

What qualifies as a word?
We define a word as a group of letters separated by a space, slash, or punctuation such as a period, question mark or exclamation. An email address would be considered one word. Abbreviated words such as BR or OBO count as one word each since they are surrounded on either sides by spaces. Phone numbers are included at no charge in your classified ads and do not count towards the word limit.

Do you bill for classified ads?
We only offer billing for commercial customers with estabilished credit and who are running display advertising as well.

Can you put color in my classified ad?
No. We cannot guarnatee color placement on classified ads, therefore we do not offer color as an option. We do, however, offer classified ad enchancements such as large next, bold text, boxed ads as additions.

What does it cost if I want to put a photo or logo on my classified ad?
Currently, the only option we have for adding photos, art or logos to classified ads is through our Classified Display program. The cost is $16 per column in for Classified Display ads.

Many website-related problems can be resolved by refreshing (reloading) the page. You may also want to try closing your web browser and then reload the page again.
